Ok – so we bought these in an airport during a long layover, so they were a little on the pricey side for us, but we have seen some decent prices online.
We use a set of these in studio sessions and the comfort level is good unless you are going to wear them for more than about 4 hours. After this, they start feeling a bit heavy on the ears. The earcups are touted as reversable for single-sided monitoring. I would not dare try that with this unit.
Sound quality is awesome, as you would expect from headphones made by Sony.
The unit is well built, and has held up against bad studio behavior and lots of travel. The one thing we didn’t like about these headphones is they don’t fold up – but we knew that when we bought them.
It might seem trivial to some, but we like the fact that the UniMatch 1/4 adapter is all metal. We go through a ton of the plastic/metal type because they just are not very durable.
